The Coordination Committee is founded in accordance with the Law on BIH
Institutions Financial Operations Auditing, Law on BIH Federation Budget
Auditing and Law on the Republic of Srpska Public Sector Auditing.
The members of the Coordination Committee are Auditor General and his
deputies from the Auditing Office for BIH Institutions' Financial
Operations, Auditor General and his deputy from BIH Federation Budget
Auditing Office and Auditor General from the Supreme Office for the
Republic of Srpska Public Sector Auditing.
The most important functions of the Coordination Committee are:
- setting up of auditing standards,
- ensuring consistent quality of auditing activities,
- defining responsibilities for auditing of joint activities,
- appointing representatives in international bodies.

The Coordination Committee have passed
INTOSAI Code of Ethics for Public Sector
Auditors and
INTOSAI Auditing Standards.
Supreme auditors in supreme auditing institutions in Bosnia and
Herzegovina are obliged to apply these standards and ensure their
application in accordance with the laws on public sector auditing by any
official conducting auditing services.
